At the intersection of heritage and city intensity, Oxford & Foley reshapes an iconic Oxford Street address into a modern commercial destination. The development preserves the character of its historic fabric while opening it to new patterns of work, retail, and public engagement.

Overview
Oxford & Foley is a major adaptive-reuse and commercial development reimagining a prominent section of Sydney’s iconic Oxford Street, at the Hyde Park gateway between the CBD and the eastern suburbs. Spanning a full city block and two adjoining partial blocks, the project integrates architecturally designed retail, hospitality, and commercial accommodation within two signature heritage buildings. With expansive street frontage, a new hospitality laneway, and upper levels capturing sweeping views across the CBD and Sydney Harbour, the development reinforces Oxford Street’s role as a vibrant urban connector within a dense, creative precinct.
Our company was engaged across all heritage, structural, and finish carpentry works, contributing to both the restoration and transformation of these historically significant buildings. Structural carpentry works were carefully coordinated to support new commercial floorplates—up to 1,400m² in size—while respecting and retaining the integrity of the original fabric. Detailed heritage carpentry addressed the repair, replication, and integration of traditional elements, ensuring continuity between the buildings’ past and their contemporary reuse.
Internally, our finish carpentry helped define the character of both the 7,600m² of commercial office space and the 2,300m² of bespoke ground-plane retail. From refined interior detailing to robust joinery suited to high-traffic retail and hospitality environments, our work balances craftsmanship with durability. The result is a cohesive development where historic structure and modern commercial performance are seamlessly aligned, supporting Oxford & Foley’s position as a landmark workplace and destination on one of Sydney’s most celebrated streets.
