A built testament to collaboration, quality and a shared vision for the future of education

Overview
The Lang Walker Business Centre at The Scots College was successfully delivered as a two-storey educational facility and prominent campus landmark at the southern end of the College. The project required careful planning and coordination to integrate a complex learning environment within an active school setting, while maintaining strong connections between Victoria Road and the Main Oval.
From a construction perspective, the build involved the delivery of eight high-quality teaching and learning spaces incorporating innovative Activity-Based Learning (ABL) fit-outs. These flexible interiors required close collaboration with the client and design team to ensure spaces could support individual, collaborative and formal learning modes, including conventional classrooms and a purpose-built lecture theatre.
Works also included conference rooms, an Old Boys’ Room for seminars and events, a clinic and visitor change rooms, as well as facilities supporting sporting and commemorative activities on the Main Oval. The two-storey configuration demanded precise sequencing to ensure the seamless integration of ground-floor ABL spaces with upper-level conference and meeting rooms.
Delivered over several years of planning and execution, the project reflects a strong focus on quality, functionality and long-term performance. The completed Lang Walker Business Centre provides a robust and adaptable built environment that supports The Scots College’s educational vision, while standing as a successful example of collaboration between client, designers and construction team.
